African regional forum of vocational training

General framework:

Policy, led by his Majesty King Mohamed VI, may God assist him,  by Allah, which aims to strengthen South-South cooperation, especially in the field of vocational training, the Kingdom of Morocco will The first African Forum on vocational training.

Place and date of the Forum:

On the 21 and 22 December 2018 under the slogan: “Governance of the vocational training systems at the service of employability and competitiveness in Africa.”

Objectives of the Forum:

The Forum is appropriate occasion for sharing experiences with various participating countries, which aims to:

  • Emphasize participatory governance principles of vocational training systems in integrated development;
  • Draw a road map to establish a model of partnership among African countries in order to give priority to configuration access and mobility and rehabilitate young people, particularly those in immigrant status;
  • Deepening the cooperation between Morocco and African countries and explore new ways for multilateral cooperation, “the African Association for the development of vocational training, which was set by 15 African countries under the multilateral framework agreement signed by April 18 on Meknes 2017.

Axes:

The axes will be addressed by the Forum to discuss the stakes and challenges associated with vocational training governance in Africa and its impact on the evaluation of human capital.

It will concern this following axes :

  • Participatory governance and improvement of the vocational training systems,
  • The adequacy of training/job performance: tools and approaches,
  • Vocational training: vector of integration of migrant populations and South-South integration;
  • Multilateral cooperation key of vocational training on a continental scale,
  • Support to the development of crafts in the face of the challenges of climate change in Africa.
