DAKHLA

21-22 DEC

OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP

The objectives of the workshop “Multilateral cooperation: Cornerstone of vocational training on a continental level” come as follows:

  • Exchange of good practices on the development of South-South cooperation in the field of vocational training;
  • The design of mechanisms for the exchange of information on vocational training schemes between the countries of the African continent;
  • Developing fruitful cooperation both bilaterally, multilaterally and in the tripartite framework with the different countries of the African continent;
  • Identifying appropriate mechanisms for evaluating the impact of the actions implemented;
  • Identifying partnership projects for the development of South-South cooperation in the field of vocational training.

PATHWAYS TO BE EXPLORED

International cooperation in vocational training is growing, diversifying and gaining more importance. Questions arise as to how best to make this cooperation fruitful and effective, especially between the countries of the South and:

  • Ways and means to upgrade this cooperation;
  • Mechanisms for exchanging good practices in vocational training;
  • Actions to encourage investors to contribute to development in this area;
  • Tools to strengthen partnerships between vocational training institutions at the African level;
  • The role that international partners could play in providing technical and financial assistance.

The Moroccan approach to vocational training, promoted by the Ministry of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, is increasingly seeking to strengthen its strategy of opening up to a wider range of Africancountries, bymeans of:

  • Broadening the scope of cooperation to a larger number of African countries;
  • Supporting the development of the vocational training system of African countries by making use of its expertise in this regard;
  • Hosting more foreign trainees from African countries;
  • Supporting Moroccan economic players investing in Africa.
